You put a lot of time and effort into writing your book and the formatting of your book's interior should reflect that. Our book formatting services are designed for self-publishing authors needing affordable interior book layout services without sacrificing quality. Your book will be professionally formatted and you will receive a print-ready PDF of your finished book that will be accepted by the majority of book publishers and printers including Lightning Source, Lulu, CreateSpace, and others. We will design the entire interior of your book including the title page, copyright page, front matter sections (dedication, acknowledgments, etc.), table of contents, chapter pages, and back matter sections such as an about the author page.

ADVANCED LAYOUTFor other types of books such as a book of poetry, a children's illustrated book, a cookbook, or a book that contains items such as a large number of images or images that require text-wrap, a large number of footnotes or endnotes, multi-level lists, multi-level chapter subheadings, tables, graphs, charts, pull quotes, textboxes, etc. In order for us to determine the cost of formatting this type of book please send a copy of your book's document. We will look it over and contact you with a quote. |

Our book formatting services do not include: editing or proofreading, image editing or manipulation, creation of charts or graphs, indexing, or formatting of books written in a language other than English. We retain the right to not accept formatting jobs for books that are too complex for our pricing structure.

Turnaround times will vary depending on our current workload; the following turnaround times are typical but not guaranteed. If you have a deadline please contact us to make sure we will be able complete the formatting in time.
Level One Basic: a draft PDF of your formatted book will be sent within 7-10 days of receiving your order and all required material for your book.
Level One Custom: sample layouts are sent within 7-10 days of receiving your order and all required material. Once a sample is approved you will receive a finished draft within 10-14 days.
Level Two Basic: a draft PDF of your formatted book will be sent within 10-14 days of receiving your order and all required material for your book.

Level Three: Depends on the complexity of the book's layout and how many other complex jobs we currently have on our schedule. Please contact us and send a sample of your book to receive a time estimate.
eBooks: If you order the eBook add-on it will take about 7-14 days after your print version is complete to receive your eBook files.

Kimberly Martin, Owner and Lead Designer
I grew up in California in the '70s and '80s and have also lived in Oregon. I now live in Georgia just north of the Atlanta area. I have always been an avid reader and I love working with authors to help them bring their own book to life. Clients will often send me a copy of their book when it is done and I am always thrilled to see the work I helped create in print.
My design background started when I began to design the flyers and brochures for the retail shop I worked in for extra cash in the early '90s. This turned into my first small business creating similar items for other shops in the area. I left the retail store to work at Kinko's where I often copied and bound books for customers. I am a bit of a perfectionist which got me in trouble at work as I tossed out too much of what I considered poor quality and returning customers would walk out if I wasn't available to do their work.
During this time I started my own poetry website which quickly became a popular poetry community. I began creating websites and left my job at Kinko's to pursue my website business full-time. A few years later the poetry community decided they wanted to publish a book of poetry and turned to me for help. Like many new self-publishing authors I made a lot of mistakes. I spent too much money on the first book we published and was not happy with the results. I knew there must be a better way and started doing research and learned as much as I could about self-publishing and how to format books. I did both the interior and cover design on the next poetry book edition myself and all future books the community did were also done by me. The lessons I learned in this process lead me to create the self-pub.net website in 2003 so I could offer advice and information to other self-publishing authors. I soon started offering interior formatting and cover design services and that became the focus of my business.
I now have over 8 years of experience formatting books and creating covers for self-publishing authors and small publishers. As a self-published author myself I understand how important your book is to you and take great pride in all the books I format, no matter how big or small.
