My book formatting services are designed for self-publishing authors needing affordable interior book layout services without sacrificing quality. With my service your book will be professionably formatted using Microsoft Word and you will receive a print quality PDF of your finished book created with Adobe Acrobat Pro which is accepted by the majority of book publishers and printers including Lightning Source, Lulu, CreateSpace, Booksurge, Trafford and others.
Every book I format is designed from scratch, not from a template, so your book will be unique.

My Book Formatting Services |
All of my book formatting services include the layout of your book's interior including the title pages, copyright page, any front matter sections (dedication, acknowledgments, table of contents, etc.) that you need, chapters pages with chapter titles, running headers and page numbers, and back of book sections such as an about the author page. A PDF draft of your completed book layout for you to review before the final PDF is made and digital delivery of your finished book layout as a print quality PDF file created with Adobe Acrobat Pro using the PDF/X-1a 2001 standard that is requested or required by most printers and publishers.

BASIC BOOK LAYOUT
For basic, text only, fiction novels that only require simple formatting.
- Email consultation
- Select from a list of our standard fonts.
- Choose formatting options such as font size, line spacing, chapter title alignment, page number placement and chapter heads.
- Receive a PDF draft of the book for review and approval.
- Once approved a print ready PDF of the finished book will be delivered via email.
Quick Turnaround! Basic jobs do not need to be scheduled and will be completed within two weeks (often earlier) from the time you submit your order and send in your documents.
STANDARD BOOK LAYOUT
A step up from the Basic that includes phone consultation, more font choices and the creation of a sample chapter layout for your review.
- Email and phone consultation
- Select from a list of all of our available fonts, including those from commercial font packages.
- Choose the formatting options yourself or have me select for you.
- Sample chapter layout created for your review and approval before book is formatted.
- Receive a PDF draft of the book for review and approval.
- Once approved a print ready PDF of the finished book will be delivered via email.
Completed within one to two weeks from the time your job is scheduled to begin.
ADVANCED BOOK LAYOUT
For books that require a more advanced layout including any book with images, block quotes, footnotes, lists, tables, etc.
- Email and phone consultation
- Select from a list of all of our available fonts, including those from commercial font packages.
- Allows for images, tables, lists, footnotes, block quotes, etc.
- Choose formatting the options yourself or have me select for you.
- Sample chapter layout created for your review and approval before book is formatted.
- Receive a PDF draft of the book for review and approval.
- Once approved a print ready PDF of the finished book will be delivered via email.
Completed within two weeks from the time your job is scheduled to begin..

Add-On Options |
The following are add-on options are available during checkout. The Advanced Formatting Service includes Drop Caps and Chapter Title Ornamentation at no extra cost.
- Chapter Title Ornamentation (view samples) for an additional $5.00

- Kindle Formatting for an additional $50.00 for Basic and $75 for Standard. Kindle is Amazon.com's popular eBook reader.

About Me |
I grew up in California in the '70s and '80s and have also lived in Oregon. I now live in Georgia just north of the Atlanta area. I have always been an avid reader and I love working with authors to help them bring their own book to life. Clients will often send me a copy of their book when it is done and I am always thrilled to see the work I helped create in print.
My formatting background started when I began to design the flyers and brochures for the retail shop I worked in for extra cash. This turned into my first small business creating similar items for other shops in the area. I left the retail store to work at Kinko's where I often copied and bound books for customers. I am a bit of a perfectionist which got me in trouble at work as I tossed out too much of what I considered poor quality and returning customers would walk out if I wasn't available to do their work.
During this time I started my own poetry website which quickly became a popular poetry community. I began creating websites and left my job at Kinko's to pursue my website business full-time. A few years later the poetry community decided they wanted to publish a book of poetry and turned to me for help. Like many new self-publishing authors I made a lot of mistakes and spent too much money on the first book we published and I was not happy with the results. I knew there must be a better way and started duing research and learned as much as I could about self-publishing and how to format books. I formatted and did the cover design on the next poetry book edition myself and all future books the community did were also done by me. The lessons I learned in this process lead me to create the self-pub.net website so I could offer advice and information to other self-publishing authors. I eventually started offering my formatting services and cover design services through the website and that became the focus of my business.
I now have over 5 years of experience as a book formatter and have formatted hundreds of books for self-publishing authors. As a self-published author myself I know how important your book is to you and take great pride in all the books I format no matter how big or small.
