Description
Your book is an illustrated children’s book. It consists of the following:
- up to 40 illustrations (additional illustrations are $2 each)
- up to 40 pages of text (additional pages are $5 each)
The eBook created for our children’s illustrated package will be a fixed-layout eBook.
We do not provide illustration services; this package assumes that you will be providing the illustrations needed to complete the layout of your book.
Your Package Includes:
Interior Book Design:
- Design of two layout concepts of one of your book’s chapters for review and feedback
- Consultation via phone or video conference with your book designer
- Two more design concepts, if needed, based on your comments
- The layout of your book’s interior in Adobe InDesign to the style of your approved concept
- Draft PDF of the entire book for your review
- Up to 15 text corrections after you review the draft PDF at no additional charge; additional corrections are $1 each with a $10 PDF recreation fee
- Print-ready PDF set your printer’s requirements
Book Cover Design:
- Design of three initial cover concepts of your front cover
- Two more design concepts, if needed, based on your comments
- Layout of your front, back, and spine to your cover set to your printer’s specifications
- Draft PDF of book cover spread for your review
- Print-ready PDF set your printer’s requirements once cover is approved
eBook Conversion:
- The conversion of your book to a fixed-layout eBook format
- KDP and ePUB fixed-layout eBook file formats
Submission Assistance:
- Written instructions on how to set up your accounts at IngramSpark and Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP)
- Submission of your print-ready book files and eBook files to your printer, such as IngramSpark and/or Amazon KDP

Your self-publishing coach add-on comes with two hours of consulting to help you navigate the world of self-publishing and will focus on the following:

- An overview of the self-publishing process
- A review of your self-publishing expectations and goals
- Discussing the business side of self-publishing
- Choosing your printer and distributor
ISBN, Copyrights, and LCCNs
- Assistance in obtaining your ISBN*
- Registering your book’s copyright
- Acquiring your Library of Congress Control Number (LCCN)
* the cost of your ISBNs is not included in your package price; there may be a third-party charge to obtain ISBNs if needed for your book
