We offer a template for both a standard book layout as well as one designed for poetry books. The Poetry Book Template and the Basic Book Template are available as an immediate download in each of the following sizes: 5 x 8 inches, 6 x 9 inches, 8.5 x 11 inches as well as a Book Fold format. Book Fold format is setup for printing on an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper on your home desktop printer on both sides, with two pages per side, then folding in half to create a booklet.
If you need a specific size we don't offer you can purchase the one closest to the size you need then change the page size in Microsoft Word or you may purchase the Custom option and let us know the size you need for your book template and we will create it and email it to you within 2 business days.

Our Microsoft Word Book Templates Come With The Following:

A Microsoft Word .dot book template file.

Book title page with placeholders for the book title, subtitle and author name

Copyright page with a standard copyright notice on the back side of the title page with placeholders for the book title, author name and copyright year.

Front of book sections: Dedication, Acknowledgments and Foreword pages.

Table of Contents following the front of the book section pages that includes the chapter (or poetry) titles. After replacing the placeholder Chapter / Poetry Titles in your book with your own titles you may update the table of contents to automatically reflect your changes.

About the Author Page at the back of the book.

Fifteen chapter pages with a chapter title and chapter text placeholders. Chapters start on the right hand (odd numbered) pages in the book. The poetry book template comes with placeholders for 15 poems, left aligned.

Different Left and Right page headers (running headers).

Page numbers at the top of the chapter pages, on the bottom on the poetry pages.

Each of the various sized book templates has appropriate font sizes, margins, line spacing and paragraph indenting for its specific size.

The templates are setup to use formatting styles for all parts of the book. For example all of the Chapter Titles are set to one style and the Chapter Text to another. To change the formatting of the book you will only need to make the changes to the style.

The default font for the different styles used in the template is set to Times New Roman as it is a font everyone is should have. Fonts can be changed by changing the corresponding formatting style. See above.
