Book Templates for Microsoft Word

Our book templates for Microsoft Word are professionally designed and specifically made with self-publishing authors in mind. The templates are also easy to use; simply open them in Microsoft Word and replace the existing text with your own.

We have book templates for both novels and poetry books and also offer a book fold template for those that need to create a booklet using their desktop printer.

You will receive a template in the most popular sizes for self-publishing books:

Our book fold template is set up for an 8 ½ by 11 sheet of paper.

Each of Our Microsoft Word Book Templates Include:

• A Microsoft Word .dot book template file in each of the following sizes: 5 x 8, 5.5 x 8.5, 6 x 9. The book fold template is set to print on an 8 ½ by 11 sheet of paper.
• Book title page with placeholders for the book title, subtitle and author name
• Copyright page with a standard copyright notice on the back side of the title page with placeholders for the book title, author name and copyright year.
• Front of book sections: Dedication, Acknowledgments and Foreword pages.
• Table of Contents following the front of the book section pages that includes the chapter (or poetry) titles.
• About the Author Page at the back of the book.
• Fifty chapter pages (or 50 poems in the poetry book template) with the ability to add or remove chapters or poems based on your book’s needs.
• Chapters start on the right hand (odd numbered) pages in the book. Different Left and Right page headers (running headers).
• Page numbers at the bottom of each chapter page.
• Proper margins and gutters.
• The bookfold template is setup to print two pages (2-up) on a sheet from your desktop printer to allow you to print back-to-back then fold in half to create a booklet.
