Designed for self-publishing author's on a tight budget our Book Design Wizard Jr. is a slimmed down version of the Book Design Wizard 2.0. It contains less features at a reduced price. If version 2.0 is out of your budget or you don't need all of the bells and whistles then the Book Design Wizard Jr. is for you.
The basics behind Jr. are the same as the full version. You enter your book's information into the form, choose what items to include, choose your fonts, enter your chapter titles, choose your page headers and location for your page numbers and then click 'Create Book'. The Book Design Wizard Jr. will then take this information and created a customized book layout in Microsoft Word. You can then use the included tools to insert your text and add additional chapters if needed.
The main features that are not included with Jr. are the ability to select different style options for your chapter titles and paragraphs, not being able to choose a Book Fold format suitable for printing on a desktop printer, using the wizard to include an index or insert pictures. A list of these and other differences are listed below.

Sample Book
Click the image below to view a sample books created using Book Design Wizard Jr. The sample was created using only Book Design Wizard Jr. with no manual editing, typing or formatting of the document besides copying "dummy text" from another document. The sample book only has a few chapters and was saved at a low resolution to keep the file size small for viewing.
The sample is a PDFs and requires Adobe Reader to view. Please note that Book Design Wizard Jr. will not create a PDF of your book's document. It creates a Microsoft® Word document which a PDF can be created from using separate PDF software. For more information on PDF view our PDF FAQ page.

Software Requirements:
In order to use our Book Design Wizard Jr. you must have either Microsoft® Word 2000*, 2002 (XP) or 2003 for the PC. The computer needs to be using the English language.
The Book Design Wizard Jr. will not work with any other word processing program and it will not work on a Macintosh.
Microsoft Word 2007
The Book Design Wizard Jr. was briefly tested on the Beta 2 version of Microsoft® Word 2007 that is due to be released soon. A few minor issues were found that can be worked around that are documented here. At this time we are not officially supporting the Book Design Wizard on Microsoft® Word 2007. After Microsoft releases the final version we will do additional testing and release updates as needed.
