How Our Schedule Works
We accept new jobs on a set two-week cycle. Each cycle has a limited capacity based on job type, and start dates are scheduled.
The Two-Week Cycle
Week 1 is your draft week. We work on concepts and your full draft, which you will receive by Friday. All new jobs are scheduled to start in Week 1 of the cycle.
Week 2 is your Edits and eBook week. We will complete all requested edits and your eBook conversion and deliver it by Friday. No new jobs are booked to start during Week 2 of a cycle.
Edit Deadline
All edit requests must be returned by Monday morning following draft delivery. If edits aren’t received by Monday night, they might be scheduled into the next available Edit cycle.
How Capacity Works
Each cycle has a 9-point capacity. Your job type determines how many points it uses:
- Value jobs: 1 pt
- Custom Novels/Memoirs: 3 pts
- Nonfiction/Business: 6 pts
If your job type requires more points than a cycle has remaining, you will be assigned to the next cycle with enough capacity.
Payment Schedule
A 50% deposit is required to secure your start date. No slot is held without a deposit. The remaining 50% is due upon delivery of your full draft.
Before Your Start Date
All files and required information must be received before your assigned start date. Jobs with missing files will be moved to the next available cycle.
Please Note
While we do our best to deliver your full draft within the scheduled draft week, circumstances beyond our control may occasionally cause delays. Additionally, if concept approval requires additional rounds of review, the full draft delivery may be pushed to accommodate those revisions. We will always communicate any changes to your timeline as early as possible.
